Art Basel 2023 Miami in my rearview mirror

Exhibiting at Art Basel | Miami was a totally thrilling experience as to be expected. Months of my long-distance planning, curating, careful packing and finally the installation my paintings were a whirlwind of activity.

I am happy to say the amount of exposure, contacts, new friends, and sales during Art Basel was worth every bit of the 4,300-mile cross country drive. I couldn't have asked for a better partner than Art, my husband, who aptly handled the Penske Transit 250 rental van 2/3 of the drive and the massive crowds entering the gallery. 

The number of overseas visitors was both energizing and illuminating. Many patrons traveled from cities in Europe, Asia, South America, and Mexico to take in the week of art in Miami.  Others were first time visitors checking out the art scene. It made for fun and entertaining conversations.

I am unpacking and settling back into the studio in Colorado. I am full of gratitude for all the wonderful people I met during these past three weeks and who made the exhibition week a great success!i
